30 somethings in Ibiza

In early July we and our friends Andy and Emma went to the isle of Eivissa as the locals call it.  The main objective was to see David Guetta perform, something we decided to do after seeing the Black Eyed Peas last year.  If your going to see Guetta you might as well do it properly and do it in Ibiza!

Don't get me wrong, this wasn't some kind of mid life crisis thing, the majority of the holiday was very civil and dignified, sight seeing and sunbathing, as it should be when you reach a certain age.

The highlight and main purpose of the trip came early in the week as we headed to Ushuaia for the F*** Me I'm Famous beach party.  A fantastic night finishing with a 2 and half hour set from the main man!

Other trips out included the Hippy Market which was 'interesting' pretty much full of tat and nothing to do with hippies in the most with the odd gem if you looked hard enough.  That day was blisteringly hot and saw me drinking more water than a fish just to keep me on my feet.

Pool days were really not my thing, I get bored if I'm not moving around so I had to keep wondering off for a stroll or to watch some foreign TV for a bit just to keep my mind ticking over.  We did spend a few evenings taking advantage of our all inclusive status 'enjoying' the resorts 'entertainment' even though we were outnumbered by 'travellers' (who knew they all went on holiday to one resort in Ibiza at the same time).

One evening we headed to San Antonio to watch the sunset.  We sat by the famous Cafe del Mar to watch the daily occurrence which seems to attract hundreds of people each night.  I must admit though it was a nice setting with a few boats scattered about on the horizon.
